DuctworkInstallation.com

This website is designed for people:

I have been working as an HVAC installer for 27 years and discovered that there are no manuals and/or  books for this type of work. But I created four of them that I believe are very good and useful for anyone who wants to learn HVAC installation.

DuctworkInstallation.com was created in August 2006. Since then it has become massive and the most reliable source of information!

Currently it has:

  • Ninety seven (Site Map) main menu and parent pages most of which have additional HVAC topics on the left hand side. On this page, you can see a list of all the links.
  • One hundred thirty six paid and download pages, many of which also have additional information
  • Five books
  • Tjernlund fans

On the DuctworkInstallation.com, you can find answers to many ductwork, furnace/air handler and related questions, such as noise reduction and elimination, energy conservation, furnace, heat pump/AC repair and troubleshooting and so on.

DuctworkInstallation.com has 2054 pictures, 37 pdf files, 214 YouTube video clips, 14873 registered users from the US, UK and Canada, and about 36,000 page views per month.

The Facts About Clothes Dryer Exhaust Systems

What causes the fires?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that in 1998, clothes dryers were associated with 15,600 fires, which resulted in 20 deaths and 370 injuries. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat build-up, and result in a fire in some dryers.

To help prevent fires:

  • Clean the lint screen/filter before or after drying each load of clothes. If clothing is still damp at the end of a typical drying cycle or drying requires longer times than normal, this may be a sign that the lint screen or the exhaust duct is blocked........
If you would like to read more and find information about the best solution to your dryer problems please visit Clothes Dryer Exhaust Systems page!
